Some Random Lou Facts

In the spirit of getting to know each other, here are some random things about me ...

I love peanut butter.  LOVE.  IT.  Could probably live on it.  In fact, I rarely do jelly because why mess with perfection and take away from PEANUT BUTTER.  Bubby seems to have inherited this trait from Mama.

I have OCD.  Most of the time I am able to control it w/o meds ... in times of stress, it gets worse.  My worst issues are checking the burners/oven, checking the doors/window locks and staying in front of my house making sure the garage door doesn't come back up (it actually did once).

I hate mess.  I hate clutter.  I get very stressed out if my house is a mess.  See above.  However, I could give a rat's butt what anyone else's house looks like ... note to my friends that feel like they have to explain their messy houses to me - I don't care and I don't judge ... it is only my own space that concerns me.

In the past 18 mos I've lost 54 lbs.  I feel like a different person.  Weight Watchers Online.

I can't stand arrogant, know-it-all people.  So if I call someone arrogant, it is not a compliment.

I love to shop.  LOVE.  IT.  Clothes, shoes, household items, you name it.  I prefer old school walking the stores, but online shopping can do it for me too.  If I could shop while eating a peanut butter sandwich, that would be heaven!

Coke NOT Pepsi.  Coke.  Got it?

I think I was British in my former life.  Tea!  Books!  BBC!  Jane Austen!  Sigh ...

I'm quickly becoming a yoga fanatic.  Me.  The woman who use to say, "Yoga just isn't enough for me ... it doesn't do anything for me".  Um, shut up.  I actually do a lot of different stuff exercise-wise but that woman that said that ... she didn't know what she was missing.  I prefer Ashtanga/Power/Hard Body yoga.

My dream job/career/life would be to own a Cafe-Bookstore.  I love books.  I love coffee, I love tea, I love pastries.  I can't write (as I am demonstrating here).  Darn Barnes & Noble beat me to it.  I need to move to a small town and do this thing.  Oh, wait, I am not a small town kinda gal ... much to my in-law's dismay.

Ok, go back to what you were doing ... that's enough boring tidbits for now.  Share something with me about you!

  1. Congrats on your weight loss! WW has always worked for me, and I need to get back to it!

Diet coke for me, not diet pepsi.

Agree completely on the PB. But I love it w/strawberry or grape jelly. Brings back memories of running free in my childhood.

OMG - let's go in together on a Cafe-bookstore! I totally bet there's a market for one that specializes in romance.

  4. Johi,

You did good. The heat was just about as much as I could tolerate ... I don't think I've ever sweated that much - INSANE.

I haven't mentioned 'this' to anyone because I don't really know how long I'll do it and I didn't want to 'make a thing' of it (I have issues). Ha! Mostly it is an online journal. We'll see ... I will check out that site, though. :)
